New Arrivals and Top Products from Shot Show 2023

2023 has been a great year so far, with many new optics, firearms, and firearm accessories releasing to the public, during and after Shot Show.  Holosun, Leupold, B&T, Sig Sauer, Beretta and Pulsar have all released products this year that are extremely impressive.

Holosun’s new DRS-NV/DRS-TH was the star of the show, as a budget thermal/NV option is hard to come by.  Their all new red dot adaptations like the SCS, SCRS, and 507 Competition are sure to be solid options with the standard features everyone loves from Holosun.  The Mark 5hd lineup from Leupold is legendary for its performance but they have added a 2-10 to the mix, giving consumers another great mid-power scope.

B&T has a plethora of new products coming out, but the new TP380 is extremely compact and extremely capable for its size.  Sig has really revolutionized the industry in the last few years.  This year they will be adding more p320/p365 variants as well as a few new optics catered towards their current military contracts.   This year Beretta took the success they had last year with the shotgun and pistol models they announced, by adding an all new tactical shotgun in the A300 patrol, as well as refining the old Cheetah design into the all new Beretta 80x.

Holosun DRS-NV Night Vision Optic And DRS-TH Thermal Optic

As one of the most anticipated products revealed at Show Show 2023, the Holosun DRS overlays Thermal or Night Vision over a red dot optic.  With the optic’s protective caps flipped down, it functions as a typical Holosun red dot optic with adjustable brightness and multiple reticle selection.  When the caps are flipped in the up position, a button activates the thermal or night vision overlay onto the window.

The dot reticle is independent of the background image, meaning the optic retains its zero between functioning as a red dot or thermal/NV optic.  The optic runs off a rechargeable 18350 with an integrated charging port built into the optic’s body.  The optic also allows streaming to a secondary device via the USB charging port.

The projected price from Holosun is around $1000 dollars for the NV model and $1600 for the thermal, which is highly competitive and offers a great starting point for those wanting to get into thermal or night vision.

Holosun Solar Charging Rifle Sights (SCRS)

For 2023, Holosun will add a new SCS red dot optic designed for those who want a compact, solar-powered red dot. Similarly to Holosuns popular SCS pistol optic, they are powered solely by a solar cell with a built-in capacitor responsible for charging an integral battery. The power reserve stores an estimated 20,000 hours of use.

This optic will also feature a 20mm tube and multidirectional light sensors that will auto-adjust illumination based on surrounding conditions. However, this optic will also have a manual mode where you can control the red dots’ brightness intensity.  The Holosun SCRS will be compatible with current Holosun 509t mounts, giving users a few more aftermarket mount options.  Holosun has quoted an MSRP of $350-$400.

Holosun 507 Competition

Holosun has unveiled a new pistol optic mainly designed for competitive shooting.  The large viewing window and the new CRS system on 507 Comp give shooters another great option for competitive shooting. While also retaining other beloved Holosun features like the 50,000-hour battery life, shake awake function, side-loaded battery, and red/green reticle options.

The HE507COMP-GR handgun sight features a large 1.1” x 0.87” objective lens for enhanced shooting performance and Holosun’s new Competition Reticle System (CRS) available with a green LED. CRS is an enhanced Multi-Reticle System with four components including a precision 2MOA dot, an 8MOA circle, 20MOA circle, and 32MOA circle with multiple combination settings to suit individual shooter’s preferences.

Holosun SCS 320, SCS PDP, SCS VP9, SCS MP2

While Holosun has made the Glock MOS SCS for over a year now, they are releasing a new model for the Sig Sauer p320, H&K VP9 and Smith and Wesson M&P.  The SCS utilizes a solar cell and a small internal battery to power the dot and can operate indefinitely, with up to 20,000 hours of battery life.

Due to the internal battery design it also has a smaller profile, meaning most stock sights will cowitness through the glass. All of these sights use a green reticle and can switch between a 2MOA dot or Holosun’s MRS (Multi-Reticle System).

Leupold Mark 5hd 2-10

As a new addition to Leupold’s popular Mark 5hd lineup,  the new Leupold Mark 5HD 2-10×30 is a lightweight medium power option that offers exceptional features.  Similarly to the other optics in the Mark 5hd lineup, the 2-10×30 will include Three-Turn ZeroLock adjustments, Leupold’s Professional-Grade Optical System and a 35mm main tube.

They have announced that reticle options will include the PR-1 MOA and the Illuminated and Non-illuminated TMR.  At 11 inches and 24 ounces, it is a perfect fit for use on a carbine, SPR or lightweight hunting rig.

The P320 Legion has a stainless steel slide with a Legion Gray PVD finish and comes equipped with a fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight. The pistol also features a 5-inch bull barrel, which enhances accuracy and provides a longer sight radius.

One of the most significant upgrades on the P320 Legion is the enhanced trigger system. It has a solid steel skeletonized trigger, which provides a shorter and crisper trigger pull with a reduced trigger reset.

The new Sig Sauer P365 chambered in 380 is finally here, adding a softer shooting, easier handling micro-compact option to Sig’s pistol lineup.  Utilizing the same grip module and fire control unit as the popular 9mm version with a lightened slide and barrel, it remains compatible with all existing P365 holsters.

It features Sig Saures Standard, Nitron® finished stainless slide, DLC barrel, and a completely redesigned two-piece captured guide rod.  The p365 380 is an excellent option for those that have smaller hands, are prone to being recoil sensitive, or those that want a more lightweight option while still using the p365 platform.

Sig Sauer Romeo 9t

The Romeo 9T features a 2 MOA dot with a 65 MOA Ring. The sight also features a MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination) system that automatically turns on the illumination when the sight senses motion to save battery life.  If running a carbine chambered in .300 Blackout you will likely be using both subsonic and supersonic loads. With the Romeo 9T, you can zero to both loads utilizing the two different reticles.

The Romeo 9T is built to withstand tough conditions and is rated IPX-8 waterproof, which means it can be submerged in water up to 20 meters deep. It also features an aluminum housing and high-quality lenses that provide clear and bright images in a variety of lighting conditions.

Sig Sauer Romeo m17

The Romeo M17 does not require an optic mounting plate so it has an extremely low profile which allows it to use the pistols’ factory sights, it offers several user-selectable reticles and multiple brightness settings including 3 night vision settings.

The Romeo M17 has a nitrogen-purged and fully enclosed shroud preventing the effects of dirt, moisture and temperature change. The side battery compartment is accessible without removing the optic from the pistol.  Meaning, you will not have to rezero the optic after a battery change. Battery life is estimated at a minimum of 20,000 hours when running consistently on the medium setting.

Beretta 80x

The shotgun has an oversized charging handle and bolt release, which makes it easy to operate under stress or in low-light conditions. It also features an adjustable ghost-ring rear sight and a fiber optic front sight, which enhance accuracy and make it easy to acquire targets quickly.

The A300 Patrol also features a Picatinny rail on the receiver and m-lok forend which allows for the attachment of accessories such as lights or optics.
