Badger Condition One Modular Mount Explained

Founded in 1982, Badger Ordnance produces high quality rifle and optics accessories such as detachable magazine bottom metals, scope bases, rings, and much more. With their extensive history working the US military and the special operations community, Badger Ordnance has the unique capability to design and manufacture parts to meet and exceed the needs of shooters around the world. In 2019, Badger Ordnance introduced the Condition One Modular Mount (COMM), a modular scope mounting solution made to address the evolving needs of mounting optics to tactical rifles.

The Badger Ordnance Condition One Modular Mount accommodates 30mm or 34mm tube scopes at 3 mounting heights and a variety of compatible accessories to mount peripheral aiming devices, rangefinders, and more, all to the high strength 7075 T6 aluminum main mount body.

Breaking Down the Mounts

At its core, the Condition One Modular Mount represents a refinement of the more traditional one piece scope mounts. While Badger Ordnance initially offered a cantilever style mount for AR15 and similar firearms, they now offer a reinforced Max model for precision rifle setups. All COMM mounts offer fore and aft accessory positions that allow accessory mounting on either side of the mount using the appropriate J Arm. Furthermore, the Accessory Ring Cap (ARC) allows 12 o’ clock accessory mounting on either the front or rear ring cap, as well as an ARC Riser.

Badger Ordnance offers red dot mounts for use on the J Arm or ARC for most red dot sights on the market, including Aimpoint Micro T1/T2 and ACRO, Leupold Delta Point Pro and Trijicon RMR. As many optics on the market share these footprints, these mounts will fit red dots from most manufacturers. For other accessories, Badger also offers 2 different length picatinny rail sections called the Coaxial Laser Integration Feature (CLIF). Other accessories include a bubble level called the Anti Cant Device (ACD), Angle Cosine Indicator (ACI), and a Hawk Hill Custom Data Card Holder.

All of these mounts and accessories come in both black and Flat Dark Earth color options for color coordinating your rifle and accessories. This wide variety of accessories allows the user to tailor the mount to the optics used and any other requirements.
