Vortex Optics has introduced two Diamondback Tactical FFP (First Focal Plane) scopes in 2018. Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP Riflescopes are available in two versions –
- Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 6-24×50 Riflescopes
- Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-12×40 Riflescopes
What’s so Special?
These new released FFP Diamondback riflescopes are value scopes that you can buy within $400. Both these riflescope ranges have 4x zoom ratio, 30mm scope tubes, edge-to-edge optical clarity, sharp resolution, exposed tactical turrets, and strong aircraft-grade aluminum body. These scopes are incorporated with glass-etched EBR-2C Tactical reticles (either MOA or MRAD version available) at First Focal Plane.

You can use Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-12×40 Scope for hunting and Diamondback Tactical FFP 6-24×50 Scope for PRS (Precision Rifle Series) and other competition disciplines.
Reticles & Focal Plane

EBR-2C reticles help in effectively determining ranges, holdovers, windage corrections
and moving target leads. For providing optimum balance between precision aiming and low light visibility, reticle designers of Vortex Optics have chosen fine center crosshair subtensions (either MOA or MRAD) of EBR-2C reticle carefully. On the drop lines, windage reference dots are included.
EBR-2C reticle is located at First Focal Plane in both Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 6-24×50 and 4-12×40 Riflescopes. In FFP scopes, when you change magnification of these scopes the reticle dimensions also seem to change proportionally. This feature helps the shooter to use the same windage corrections, holdovers, and range estimations irrespective of the magnification level you are using.
