New Nightforce ATACR F1 Riflescopes to Buy

Good news for ATACR riflescopes lovers! Nightforce Optics has introduced two brand new ATACR riflescopes in 2015 and in both of them the reticles are located in the First Focal Plane. These scopes are called Nightforce ATACR F1 scopes that come in two variants – 4-16×42 F1 and 5-25×56 F1. Nightforce ATACR 5-25×56 F1 is perhaps the most sought after all-around long-range riflescopes available in the market currently. The scope is packed with advanced features and state of the art design, making it the leading contender in the category. Nightforce ATACR 4-16×42 F1, on the other hand, is a compact but at the same time powerful scope that comes with high quality ED Glass lenses, ZeroHold feature, .25 MOA or .1 Mil-Radian increments, and important features such as Power Throw Lever, XtremeSpeed thread, Digillum digital reticle illumination, and other features.

Now, let us check out these two new Nightforce ATACR models from close quarters:

ATACR 4-16×42 F1 Scope
It is a mid-range compact and powerful scope that comes with First Focal Plane (FFP) advantage as mentioned above. This means tactical shooters will have an added advantage. In case, you have to hit a target quickly, changing turrets and acquiring target is not an option. You have to get it done instantly. This is where FFP comes handy for tactical shooters. With changing magnification, the reticle proportion will appear to change too, meaning the reticle values or subtensions will remain proportional to the target.

This scopes comes with multi-coated ED glass lenses for distortion free crystal clear view, adjustment increments of .25 MOA or .1 Mrad, capped windage adjustment for avoiding accidental adjustment, DigIllum digital reticle illumination, eyepiece with XtremeSpeed thread for fast diopter adjustment, and integrated Power Throw Lever. However, this scope comes with ZeroHold feature, which is a low profile version of Nightforce ZeroStop. Though Nightforce has incorporated the ZeroStop feature with ATACR 5-25×56 F1 scope they have chosen ZeroHold for this scope and it may be a disappointment for some but is not big enough to complain.
